Aerolatino is a Latin dance fitness programme developed in 2003. It was created by Jeff Davila, a Colombian-born fitness instructor and dance teacher. Davila moved to the UK in 1998 and opened his dance company Colsalsa before developing the Aerolatino concept. Aerolatino classes run at multiple UK venues, including leisure centres in Putney and other locations.
The classes combine authentic Latin American rhythms with structured aerobic training. The musical styles include Salsa, Merengue, Bachatango, Cha-cha-cha and Samba, alongside Reggaeton, Lambada, Bachata and Cumbia. Sessions are described as low-impact and high-energy and are suited to a range of fitness levels. There is variety in class intensity and style across the programme.
The main programme runs under the Aerolatino name, with related formats including RumbalatinaFit and AeroStep Latino. Aerolatino also provides instructor certification and training programmes. Instructor qualifications carry CPD recognition and training through CIMSPA in the UK since 2021. Jeff Davila holds a Diploma in Salsa from the International Dance Teachers' Association.
The programme blends Latin dance culture with aerobic training and places weight on enjoyment alongside fitness results. Sessions are built around confidence, community and overall wellbeing. The format aims to make exercise feel engaging rather than routine.
